About the position

Due to changes in the energy world, such as electric cars and decentralized power generation with wind and solar energy, we need a smarter energy grid, the so-called Smart Grids. With a team of young energetic professionals we want to contribute to this energy transition.

You will be a member of an innovative team in a rapidly developing market.

As a Software Developer, you strengthen our development team by helping to develop our innovative solutions. Together with our software architects, you will be developing state of the art software solutions and contribute to the maintenance of existing software using the newest software tools. Together with your colleges you will realize the software requirements of the customer within a team of highly motivated professionals.

Your main activities are:

  • drawing up the technical design;
  • establish the architecture of the software;
  • setting up the ICT environment of the projects;
  • writing software according to the applicable guidelines, regulations and standards;
  • designing and implementing software systems;
  • Written software to meet the final product requirements;
  • Carrying out modification and maintenance work on existing software.

Energico is a system developer. The role of technology is becoming increasingly important, we are a driver of new technological developments. We have the knowledge, experience and expertise to devise, develop, implement, manage and maintain intelligent systems and integrated, sustainable solutions. We are responsible for the complete technical installations of energy systems in industrial and infrastructural environments: Substations, grid management, solar- and windfarms (on- and offshore) in various markets and sectors, nationally and internationally. Energico services consist of advice, integral design, realization and management. The focus is on the end-user's functionality, experience, technical needs, cost-effectiveness and maintainability.

Within Energico you will work in the TAI (Technical Automation and Information) department. You will be working within the core team "Energy Automation Services". Besides automating (between) stations of grid operators, among others, we are developing sustainability solutions for energy projects related to smart grids. These are largely innovative projects, where we realize new innovative ideas in a commercial environment.

The team consists of young and energetic people with a passion for sustainability, technology and innovation and a high level of expertise and motivation. You can expect a nonhierarchical, open and informal working atmosphere.

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a technical direction;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft.NET (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, REST, WebAPI, websocket);
  • Knowledge of Javascript frameworks (JQuery, Bootstrap, Angular);
  • Experience with databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle (scripts, triggers, stored procedures);
  • Experience with DevOps tooling (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Dockers, kubernetes…)
  • Demonstrated experience with C#, .NET, HTML/CSS, Javascript/Typescript
  • Experience with Web Front-end development
  • Experience with Entity Frameworks
  • Understanding of the complete SDLC
  • Good understanding of REST
  • Good understanding of Model View Controller and Observer design patterns
  • Understand emerging web and mobile development models
  • Experience with SaaS model in the online environment


Knowledge of and experience with:

  • Experience with Agile SCRUM development methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience with the Git version control system
  • Experience using or administrating DevOps tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket
  • Experience with build systems and tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven, Ant)
  • Knowledge of Modbus, MQTT, OPC DA – UA
  • Knowledge of PLC/Scada systems (Win CC OA)
  • Knowledge of Smart Grid – Stationautomatisering (IEC-61850, 104)
  • Knowledge of LoRa - IoT
  • Experience with Reporting tools (Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Reporting services, Pentaho, Qlik View, …)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (PAAS, IAAS, SAAS)
  • Experience with Vmware
  • Knowledge of cyber security (Intrusion detection software)
