About the position
Due to changes in the energy world, such as electric cars and decentralized power generation with wind and solar energy, we need a smarter energy grid, the so-called Smart Grids. With a team of young energetic professionals we want to contribute to this energy transition.
You will be a member of an innovative team in a rapidly developing market.
As a PAC engineer, you strengthen our development team by helping to develop and test our innovative solutions. Together with our software architects, you will be developing state of the art solutions and contribute to the maintenance of existing HV installations. Together with your colleges you will realize the requirements of the customer within a team of highly motivated professionals.
Your main activities are:
- Architect of the functional design secondary systems/solutions(protection, automation and control IEDs)
- Responsible for the realization of the functional and technical design of protection, automation and control systems
- Testing of secondary systems including protection IEDs, IEC 61850 & IEC 60870-5-104 communication, cyber security
- Providing support in the design of testing plans, protocols and reports
- Coordinating with customers, project engineers and project managers

We have the knowledge, experience and expertise to devise, develop, implement, manage and maintain intelligent systems and integrated, sustainable solutions. We are responsible for the complete technical installations of energy systems in industrial and infrastructural environments: Substations, grid management, solar- and windfarms (on- and offshore) in various markets and sectors, nationally and internationally. Energico services consist of advice, integral design, realization and management. The focus is on the end-user's functionality, experience, technical needs, cost-effectiveness and maintainability.
Within Energico you will work in the TAI (Technical Automation and Information) department. You will be working within the core team "Energy Automation Services". Besides automating (between) stations of grid operators, among others, we are developing sustainability solutions for energy projects related to smart grids. These are largely innovative projects, where we realize new innovative ideas in a commercial environment.
The team consists of young and energetic people with a passion for sustainability, technology and innovation and a high level of expertise and motivation. You can expect a nonhierarchical, open and informal working atmosphere.

Experience
- At least a bachelor or Master degree Energy related / Electrical Engineering
- Relevant work experience (primary and secondary electrical distribution systems) for a period of at least 3 years
- Knowledge of and experience with:
- Electrical Protection
- Experience using Omicron
- Knowledge of IEC-6185
- Knowledge of Smart Grid /
- Station automation (IEC-61850, 104)
